The arctic is the most affected earth region of the humans climate annihilation. The arctic already heated up over 2°C. Besides that there are far more problems. I describe one very practically problem here.

higher birch forests

In the birch forest surrounding the tunturis (fells) the snow normally presses the birches down, giving them an advantage over conifers. But this year we had such a warm December and we have so much wind that it looks different in mid of January. The birches need to get a proper snow load to stay down even when the wind is higher. But when we have constant storm then the snow always gets blown off.

The tree line is creeping higher rapidly. Not only because the climate heats up, also because of the stronger winds which clear the trees from the snow. The snow load normally cracks the trees, especially pine, making it harder for them to get to higher areas. Is the higher treeline good?

NO

A lot of species are highly dependent on the tunturi landscape like the Eurasien curlew. They use them as summer breeding grounds. We also have a unique flora there which is profiting from the summers, but can not compete against trees. This is a similar problem like in other mountain areas, for example the alps.

Can’t they just move more north to the complete treeless areas?

NO

A lot of these species are dependent on the ecosystem in combination with real forest areas and the higher biodiversity. Besides that some species like willow grouse needs the pushed down birches for eating. If they are all standing they reach far less branches and need to move much more.

All these side problems of the human made climate annihilation are impacting the earth already nowadays a lot. This is just a small problem, but the huge amount of small problems make everything a lot worse and accelerates the human made mass extinction to a degree the earth never saw before.
